Huskers (25-12, 8-4 Big Ten) secures the weekend series with a big, big bounceback win in today's Game 3 finale over the Terps (25-16, 6-9) in a 7-inning run-rule victory.
Cayden Brumbaugh (3-for-4) finished a HR short of the cycle with three RBI, three runs, one 2B, one 3B and one BB to lead the Husker bats, which came alive with 16 hits today after just 6 in Saturday's Game 2 loss.
Riley Silva (2-for-3, three RBI, one run) and Tyler Stone (3-for-5, two RBI, one run including a HR) were a couple other top performers at the plate. Five different Huskers scored 2+ runs (Brumbaugh and Overbeek with 3 runs; Sanderson, Evans and Carey with 2 runs).
Will Walsh (W, 4-2) was very solid on the mound with 5.1 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 0 BB, 7 K on 83 pitches.
Next up: Chance for some redemption against Kansas at 6:05pm CT on Tuesday in Lincoln. Jayhawks beat Nebraska 13-11 on Tuesday, April 9 in Lawrence.

In the 1st inning: Huskers strike first today after getting shelled early in Game 2 yesterday. Tyler Stone sends a two-out, two-run bomb over the RF wall for a 2-0 lead.
In the 2nd: Case Sanderson scores on a dropped third strike, Cayden Brumbaugh's RBI single plates Cole Evans for a 4-1 lead, and Brumbaugh comes around to score on Riley Silva's RBI single for a 5-1 lead.
