Since there were not a lot of film room requests, coupled with the overall excellent defensive game by the Huskers, thought it might be educational and interesting to analyze our pre-snap defensive formations and personnel packages vs. Maryland's offensive formations and personnel packages to see the chess match.

This is going to take some work on the part of those of you who understand this game more than I do, if you are willing. But it sure would help me (and others?) develop a deeper understanding of what's really going on behind what we see happening. Hope there's some takers.

Here's the pre-snap screen shots for all nine plays of Maryland's opening drive. Any thoughts? Insights? If you were a coach teaching kids, what would you say for each?
