Fans in the stands this Fall?

I would be more concerned about Scott Frost putting a quality team on the field. The sold out streak is pretty much a joke around the country at this point, so it really does not matter.

So is Ioway claiming a national title in football..

Which ones? The ones afraid of thin pieces of cloth, or people coming for your guns, or the ones who claim to have been fighting socialism for the better part of a century or the ones who are going to force you to convert to Islam?

The crowd who calls people snowflakes and calls out people who “live in fear” sure seem to be scared and living in a lot of fear themselves.
It's funny to me how the left is trying to take over the word snowflake and change its meaning.

Remember safe spaces on college campuses? Coloring books & puzzles for triggered college students? Yes, some on the right get easily offended too, but by in large it mostly comes from the left with their sensitivity and overreaction to trivial offenses.

Probably my favorite was the "ok" hand signal to mean "white power". Pretty sure that's quite the difference compared to worrying about your guns taken away especially when Biden has said he would take away some guns if he were POTUS.

This thing is going to fade in to oblivion within the next 4 months. As weather warms and more people get vaccinated, this thing will ebb to levels where everything will be opened wide open. Joe's going to HAVE to open things up to try to the interest payments on the debt for these f'n stimulus payments. Forget paying on the principle. We're going to struggle to pay the interest.

There will be a 100 day mask mandate when Slow Joe gets in, then the fear will ramp up again in the late summer through the media... At least 2 more years of this. Too much power to keep hold of.

nah. We'll be healed with a wave of his mighty hand. Even New York is now saying they're going to open back up.

I doubt the pandemic will be over by this Fall. But I ain’t no expert. What are the chances we have fans in the stands this season?
I'm confident it'll be back to stadium attendance by the Fall (although it is possible you might have to prove you were vaccinated). Despite the slow start vaccination actually is ramping up. It's a bit like testing was, there are a lot of early complaints (justified I might add) but also quite an improvement in the situation by summer I predict. JMO.

And this actually has little or nothing to do with politicians of any stripe. It's just that immediate mass vaccination mobilization isn't as easy as anyone thinks. It's dependent on a lot of local organizations which don't have that experience/expertise.

Love him or hate him, Dr. Fauci was interviewed in early December and said he believes the vaccine will help us reach 60% containment by July, and at that point they will declare an end to the pandemic.

There will be a "new strand" of the virus that *might* be resistant against the vaccine so the fear (therefore certain lockdowns, restrictions & masks) will be around for a while I fear.

Well, this isn't exactly one of the more brilliant posts of your time on the Husker board either..... If you want to call somebody stupid just come out and do it. At least then they'll know to whom you're directing your insults.Winking
If it makes you feel better, it wasn't you.

I assume we won't see fans in the stands but really hope to be proven wrong. I think it all depends on the vaccine rollout. The new administration is hoping to get 100 million vaccinated in the first 100 days. I'd be surprised if that happens given the pace of vaccine distributions to this point. But like I said, I hope to be proven wrong.

It's off the a very slow start for a variety of reasons. Mainly though because the state/local organizations don't have experience with a massive vaccine roll out. The vaccine manufacturers have long been promising to deliver 200 million doses or more by about June and much more after that. Vaccination will accelerate and ramp up, it was always going to do that, just not immediately or as fast as most of us would like. Kind of like ventilator production and then testing where there just was a learning period to figure out how to do it the most efficiently.

I think fans who can show proof of vaccination may be allowed to enter. By then the vaccine should be available to all Americans.

They will back off of the proof of vaccination idea I believe. By season opener, this will likely be widely reported as being the new common cold, and we will be reintegrating into our own communities again.

Plus he's hiring all of the fear porn people to run policy.
There are two things that Biden loves....fear porn and a thesaurus. I imagine his speech writers have to dumb things down for him and keep him on script. He'll use one word, then mention 3 or 4 other words that have the same meaning in the same sentence.

By fall, I will predict that no proof of vaccination will be required. By that time, the numbers will be so low IF people get vaccinated that nobody will care and it will be enter at your own risk for attendance at public gatherings....well unless the brilliant leadership of the B1G decides otherwise. Morons.

Competent states are now just waiting on more doses of vaccine. Unfortunately the more populous cities and states are struggling it appears. Imagine that. Blue states having trouble delivering services.

Raising taxes will solve that problem /s "the rich (aka the middle class) must pay their fair share"

Once we get to the point where everyone who wants a vaccine can get one, I see no reason to limit crowd sizes or show proofs of vaccinations. We should be at that point well before the beginning of next football season.

If you refuse an available vaccine and refuse to social distance, then it's nobody's fault but your own if you get sick. Things should all open up back to normal. Will they though? I have my doubts. But why would we need any more Covid shutdowns or mandates when we're at the point where everyone has access to the vaccine?
