Boy Huskerland is in an uproar. Suspensions and ill timely quotes. Its nice to have some drama. Its been quiet along that front.

Notes and Quotes,

- Sam Foltz won a national punting competition while training with Sam Koch.

- Reported that true frosh safety Aaron Williams gets early first-team reps w/ the Blackshirts.

- Gerry Dinardo, " First thing that jumps out is how big and physical they are up front on both sides of the LOS - like MSU/OSU."

-Dylan Utter is really setting himself up for a starting position. Due to his mean streak.

- Nebraska has almost no WRs left. Injured: Westerkamp, Pierson-El, Reilly, Taariq, Burtch, Hovey. It has been rough.

I hope that the WR coach is working these guys into "injury"...I can't imagine that would be the case.

When is the last time we had five suspensions for one game? What the heck happened?

Maybe we're doing the 5 suspensions in a gesture of good sportsmanship, to even it up for poor BYU since they have all those suspensions. Winking

I believe GD is more player specific at times; so it seems to be more custom. I see where you are right; but, reading across several articles; the comments about us having the size and talent as the perceived top two, seem to be the 3 of them marveling at when or if that will convert to a more dominant level.... I think our s+c is probably better and its showing up more. Also possibly better roster management and better position coaching in most areas in practice. So the N support staff and AD department were performing; and are probably more improved , with open coaches. N players have jumped to leads, won 9 games, performed big rallies - it all keeps coming back to coaching; he couldn't get out of his own way.... We had some position coaches who deserve more credit than many give; but our head coach ( his bro out of control), many of us us supported and hoped for growth - but the Dingles and many others spoke the truth; so painfully obvious now. The in game adjustments these coaches can make, will be so much better for our players. GBR

As thin as everybody says we are at OT, it surprises me that Price is moving to DT. Obviously they don't like our depth at DT as well as we thought they did.

I think it means he won`t see the field on the OL as he has been passed up by younger guys. He wanted to move to DT. By the way guys, big VV was back at practice.

Even if he's been passed, it still surprises me that they move a guy that's played in quite a few games at just about every position on the O-line except center. I could be wrong, but I thought I remembered him practicing at center even at one time.

He may have. I just thought he was overmatched in the OL against Big 10 defenses.

I didn't realize that he's as big as he is. McKweon says he's bigger than Valentine. Probably means he lacks a little mobility but it would be nice to have a guy like that as a run stuffing short yardage guy especially if one of our top 3 DTs get nicked. That has been something we have sorely lacked for years.
