Cause someone has to do it and I have loved Nebraska Football since 1982.

Please feel free to add anything you find...GBR

NOTES AND QUOTES:

- Alonzo Moore is seen as the breakout receiver this year.

- Sipple, CB Chris Jones says secondary's goal is to lock down receivers. A motto? "Lockdown U," he said. You have to like the confidence.

- Rosenthal, practice in the books. There were no Blackshirts. No tackling. No alternative jerseys.

- McKewon, DPE last guy to leave field. Felt good, but isn’t satisfied. Wants to work on route running.

Mike Riley chose to keep offense and defense separate today. Thought the practice looked crisp, not like a first practice.

- Nyatawa, NU has 5 TFr DBs (Butler & Domann at S; Dismuke, Jackson & Bootle at CB). Talented but "trying to find where they fit in," Nate Gerry said

Christohperson, De'Mornay Pierson-El expects to maintain his mental edge as a returnman. "I still got the same mentality. Make someone miss and go score."

- Sipple, Good to see DT Mick Stoltenberg spending ample time with No. 1 defense in Thursday's practice. My "pick to click" in 2016.

- McKewon, John Raridon today worked at C. Utter is the starter and Decker is the No. 2.

- Schaefer, File this #Nebraska name away for later as someone who could help at some point: Donovan McDonald. Speedy. Shifty. Practices every rep hard.

- Padilla, Some candidates to play right away might be punter Caleb Lightbourn, cornerback Lamar Jackson, early enrollee wide receiver Derrion Grim and running back Tre Bryant. A couple others who might earn their way onto the field on special teams might include cornerbacks Marquel Dismuke and Dicaprio Bootle and safety JoJo Domann.

Our growing pain playing man to man last year will pay dividends this year.

Thanks for the post.
