Extreme Fights Between the Whistles

That was the WKU coach before the Alabama game. Very inspiring, but they were fighting against a heavy weight. I think he actually said let's get in a "street fight".

Great speech but he should have saved it for a game they actually had a prayer of winning

"There are no arguments. Those are called ass-chewings." - Nick Saban

LOL I thought that was great.

I heard about the "ass chewing" comment by Saban but didn't hear really why it was warranted. Were they running up the score? What led to the ass chewing?

Sloppy play
Yup and Nick followed up with;

"We have lots of work to do," Saban said. "We're going to play a lot better teams. I didn't think we practiced very well this week. I didn't think we prepared very well for this game. I don't think we respected the team we played. Like I said before, when you're arrogant, it makes you complacent. It creates a blatant disregard for doing things right. If we don't start doing things right, we're not going to have the kind of success that we're capable of."

What a great quote. I love Riley and think he'll do great, but man it sure would be awesome to have Saban.

Every program would love to have Saban, just as (nearly) every program would have loved to have Osborne when he was at the peak of his game. Great coaches make college programs. Period. There is just no way around it. Bama lands Saban, and they are the most powerful program in football. Ohio State lands Meyer and they are competing at the highest levels, right behind Alabama. Michigan hires Harbaugh and they are already in the top 5 (note: Michigan was probably less regarded than Nebraska before Harbaugh came in.) Chris Peterson is hired at Washington (they also were less regarded than Nebraska) and they are now a top 10 program. I can go on and on, but simply put, great coaches are in high demand and in low stock.
