Erstad staying in Lincoln....

Best facilities in the B1G, and barely made the B1G tournament in his 4th year. Yeah, good to have him back. Sigh..

Kill me for what I am about to type if you like, but I would not have cared if he left. Don't care that he stayed either, but he needs to get something done this year. He has had plenty of time. I like the guy, rooting for the best, but at least a small part of me was rooting he would get the Dodger job to be brutally honest.

Exactly my reaction. I don't think Erstad's the worst coach ever, and I'm not screaming for him to be fired. But the old "Husker through and through" stuff only goes so far, and it's time to see some better results on the field.

I agree. The only thing that really made me want him to stay is that I wasn't sure right now would be a good time to be looking for a new coach. It's great that he wants to stay here, but he's got to start showing something soon, because his results so far have been pretty disappointing and not up to what we should expect from this program.

As my favorite Husker poster of all time(the Bison blood makes it official) I must point out that this is the most negative thing I've ever seen you post about an existing coach....and it's hardly negative....:)

Wanted to tell you I saw the profile of you in the most recent Harding alumni magazine. Very good article.

Was just about to post something similar. I'm not angry he's staying, but I would have been pretty ok with him leaving. I wasn't impressed when we hired him, I haven't been impressed with him since he's taken over the job and I've got to admit, I was a little livid when he announced that "this year" he was going to be more involved in the offense. I mean, if we didn't hire him to teach how to hit, I'm not sure why we hired him at all.

I'm also still not convinced dropping out was entirely his choice.

I know he actually hasn't done much since being here but that shows he actually wants to be here and have success. Respect for him staying with us. Now it's time to get out there and kick some BIG ass and maybe even make the CWS
