I'm curious how you approach this game beginning yesterday or today, as coaches, to get the team focused and ready to go. I'm not saying they won't be, but I think the biggest concern anyone has at the moment is that you have a huge, emotionally draining win, coupled with our first road test of the year. That's at least slightly worrisome, even if Northwestern is mediocre.
Even if there are 30,000 Husker fans that show up at Northwestern, it's still going to be a very easy game to come out flat in. I'm extremely happy that this game wasn't slated for a noon kickoff; I feel like the night kickoff might be able to give the team some extra ju-ju they might need.
Have total faith in the staff to get the players ready to go, but I think we all realize that a huge win combined with the first travel/road game of the year, is a flag to at least recognize.
