According to at least one website it could be OSU. Obviously that assumes they have the easiest crossover games: Illinois and NU plus they don't play themselves.

Back in the good old (for us) Big 8 days KU and KState almost always allegedly had the toughest league schedules largely because they played two great teams, us and OU plus soft non-conference games. We usually had much easier schedules because we often only played one great team, OU. The cure was simple for them: Shut up about the schedule and start beating us. Now it our turn to shut up and start playing good football.

Well we should make it hard on them then. Time to stop feeling sorry for ourselves.

It's obvious that fire the Big Ten to finally agree to a fall season, they're gonna do what they can to aid their top contender for the playoffs in getting there. Why bother caving into the demands otherwise? Getting a contender in the playoffs = money.

It's ludicrous that they let Alvarez make up Wisconsin's schedule or any other team's in their division.
The Big Ten has a staff member that has done the schedule for years. The scheduling committee only created and presented the models for number of games/weeks.

That has been the case in the past. We've been told that this year due to the COVID disruption that Alvarez had the final say on the new schedules.

Ohio State doesn't have to play themselves which makes it easier
Exactly. I don't really think it matters who their crossover games are - they'll probably kill them. Even last year, I believe they beat Wisconsin twice. Wisconsin surprised them in the 1st half of the B1G championship game, but after half time adjustments, OSU curb stomped Wisky.

OSU's one iffy game this year is against the B1G's second most talented team - PSU. That could be a dandy one to watch as PSU is rated 7 to 8 in most polls. I also think PSU getting OSU early in the schedule (2nd game) is a good thing for PSU before the Buckeyes really get everything rolling, They definitely have the talent to beat OSU. Upset anyone ?

That’s a ridiculous comparison. Everyone in the Big 8 played each other, so they all had the same conference schedule. Schedules in the B1G are not balanced, so some teams have much more difficult schedules. It doesn’t matter how good you are, OSU, Michigan and PSU are tougher games than Maryland, Indiana and Rutgers.

Even the Big 12 rotated the out of division games, so you played everyone from the opposite division and equal amount of times. The B1G schedules have no rhyme or reason, it’s just because “we said so”.

Im sure IU would happily play Nebraska again after last years result lol

A come from behind last second victory, against a very down Nebraska team? Congrats on the huge victory. Yes, we would still like to play them an equal amount as we play OSU.
Ummm not sure what game you saw but nebraska was down 2 tds with about 5 min left in the 4th and put up a td to close to 1 td with a couple min left

LOL, go away Indiana troll. Nebraska scores with 10 min left and then was stopped on the goal line on its last possession. Celebrate and pound your chest like it’s the biggest win in IU history (it might be), but you can’t even remember the game? You probably also forgot we started the game with our second string QB and finished it with a third team true freshman. Congrats on a win, but probably stop the trash talk, all things considered.

Fair enough your right. They brought it to within 7 with 10:25 left drove it to IU 35 and turned over on downs then the vaunted black shirts defense let IU run out the remaining 4 minutes of time (per espn play by play)
We also played with our backup QB as well and a freshman left tackle but somehow those black shirts only ended up with 2 sacks.

Well, then the staff member is incompetent. Time to advertise that job.

Why because Nebraska has a tough draw? All those games were on the original schedule. Last year Wisconsin has to play Michigan and tOSU. They still managed to win the West

Check out my post on the thread about fox radio.

Barry Alvarez must have a suck line to the person who schedules crossover games. They always have a fairly easy schedule.

Wait in a couple of years when Nebraska is back we won't be playing Ohio state.

Just think, you're bragging and thumping your chest over beating us in our worst time ever. Should tell you alot about the team you rout for. My god, people these days. Congrats on your one game. Pathetic!

Alvarez got to arrange the pecking order. The schedule was already known minus the 3rd cross-over game to get back to 4 home and 4 away, while playing all 6 division teams and the annual cross-over [ie: Purdue-Indiana]. Fwiw
