No mention of Nebraska for next year.

100-1? So you're saying there's a chance. Well alrighty then.I would guess our are about 100-1 right now. QB play is going to be a different picture now and in the future so I couldn't be more excited for our coaches to run their system. Once the QBs start playing well, watch the recruits file in who want to play in the system. Better defensive recruits will then follow too. It's all part of the plan.
And why would there be?
next years games are harder, but we might be able to complete a pass.
I'm thinking 2 years till we think about a conference championship.
that's does look tough, but we should have a qb in the system that can pass with experience by then.Look at our schedule in two years---18 is brutal

next year is:
at Oregon
wisconson
ohio state
northwestern
at penn state
iowa
which looks to be tough with a first year qb, although that transfer qb has experience I guess, I wonder how much of a learning curve he will need?

The thing about this schedule though, is that we never really know what we'll get until gameday. When the Oregon home and home was announced, our game this year seemed unwinnable. Things change rapidly....let's just worry about next year.
but do you think a qb that can pass can help a oline? like if they blitz and the qb burns them. or that a qb that can pass helps the running and run blocking too? by making a pass threat down field. I don't know about a national championship, but I do think if we get a qb that can pass, we could compete for a conferance championship.not saying we would win, but at least be competitive. To me you can argue and question many things pertaining to next years success, but the biggest X factor is the Oline. It has to improve, it doesn't matter what qb or skill players on the offensive side, if your Oline is terrible, your going to lose a lot of games. We need to be much better or it will be a rough year.

I think it's vital that a qb in a passing offense scorch the incoming blitzing threat. other wise you have linemen on their heels getting hurt.It would certainly help, but in games with teams with elite talent I feel it would be of little significance. In my opinion, I feel the Oline play will crumble the entire offense, that is if there is little improvement.
