It's a classic example of the when someone has past/current success and wants to do everything in their power to keep it the same and not allow any change that might impact their future success. Not a shock in our current system to see people go to great lengths to maintain any competitive advantage they may have. It happens everywhere in society...hell, it's pretty much the definition of what a lobbyist actually does.

SMSB is a satellite camp. It's actually kind of the model for them. It was started in Detroit 12 years ago (now it has spread to other cities) and is massive attracting kids from all over the region. It is not really dominated by one school (though Michigan, MSU and tOSU have kind of been the headliners in the past) and NU's coaches will be in attendance this year. So it's not like it is a Bama specific camp but they'll be there.

The worst part is that SMSB (Sound Mind Sound Body) requires the campers to attend a day of classes (life lessons and such) and take a pledge to graduate. What? Do these people think the kids need to play school also? So Finebaum has a point...it's bad for football if these kids spend too much time in the classroom when they could be in the film and weight room instead. SEC, SEC, SEC

You have not entered the twilight zone...this is real life...Freeze and Harbaugh are doing a camp together...Harbaugh just did a camp with Kirby Smart yesterday though Kirby left half way through (by helicopter making a scene) claiming he had an event back on campus...good times

And the fun continues...Bama has decided to join Michigan at the Paramus Catholic (nj) camp. For those not familiar with the school...it is the home of last years #1 overall player Rashan Gary and Jabrill Peppers (who was the #3 overall player in his class)...both who Michigan beat out Bama for...the school has the #1 player in NJ for this year also...a kid Saban is going after hard but wots is Michigan leads...should be fun

And fwiw...Iowa has signed onto the camp as well
