Does Haarberg still have the "it" factor?

How much did La Tech give us?
?? Not the point. The point is that Illinois is a team that is comparable to us. They did not run away with the game against FAU. If we can get a win against them. We can likely win against several weaker BIG west teams. (Northwester and Purdue) for example. Win those games and get one more and you get to 6.

Sadly he does not have "it"

He can't throw at all, which is not unexpected, we all knew that. Every yard he gained today, Sims would have gained more.

Doesn't mean he is not good. He is. The one thing he does seem to "have" is luck, shit he does that should be a turnover, isn't, and that is huge.

So if not HH, would people like Sims to have been out there today?

Toss three turnovers into that game (which is less than his average on the season) today.

What's the final score?

The same.

Today was the game plan that they said they were going to always do. run run run.

Right now he's no different than TM or AM with the two games he's played. All three have wheels but are one lower extremity injury away from being merely pedestrian. At this point, I don't see the it factor so will avoid any HH prehype until he proves otherwise.

Yesterday HH fumbled a snap, froze when the blitz was in his face, stares down receivers, lucky a couple passes weren't intercepted and poor awarness on outside blitzes. Last but not least, all options are keepers which teams will figure out.

Plain and simple, he's a serviceable QB who's done well against lesser teams. HH wouldn't be a starter, let alone a backup on any P5 team with a heartbeat.

He's neither as good as his fans or his detractors (who think they are "realists") think he is. He plays with heart and makes the plays when they are needed so far. He has a lot of potential and hopefully will improve a lot.

Haarburg is nothing like TMart. Not only was TMart faster but better acceleration.

Haarburg actually looks better throwing the ball but this far he is far less accurate.

TMart was all Big Ten. I don't think Haarburg is that.

The question is this, will he improve? There is a lot of comments that he's only played in two games. We'll exactly, and he's shown both strengths and weaknesses. Go portal some talented receivers and let HH work pn his timing with these guys. And maybe sprinkle in a few OL's that aren't ridiculously bad.
He would be several levels better. The position hes been put in isnt conducive to easy success.

Careful, this is very upsetting to the president of his fan club. All of it true, but still upsetting.

Oh, and TM with his weird throwing motion was still light years ahead of AM and HH in the passing game

Hope is not a strategy. He should be much further along in the passing game. Temper your expectations.

He's the best we have but I don't think he throws very well....he is a good runner....team seems to like him....but back to the passing thing....he is the latest in a very long line of Nebraska QB's who really struggle in the passing game. Can he improve in that area? I hope so. He is only 2 games in, and i'd prefer to roll with him going forward over Sims, and hope he gets better...line isn't doing him any favors either.

Come out in diamond formation against Michigan, HH, Grant and Sims (with lots of stick'em on his gloves)

He should be farther along based on what? His extensive game experience? His preparation at Kearney? His development under Frost? He makes positive plays in the pass game and doesn't turn the ball over.

I think it's too early to say. TMart had better talent around him. I loved TMart's running ability but Haarberg isn't half bad.
