Does Arch Manning sit for another year?

If the roster looks right, I'd stay put. The present roster made the playoffs. The probability of making the playoffs for TX is higher than most other teams in CFB.

If Arch is so good and makes mega millions, why doesn't he just beat out Ewers and take the QB1 job?
Rumor is that he has a good arm from an accuracy, standpoint, but not exceptionally strong. Not sure how much improvement can be made in that area.

A lot of people said the same thing about his uncle Peyton.
Yep. His arm is plenty strong. I believe he'll be better than Quinn in a couple of years, but he's not there yet. I do like Arch's athletic ability, too. He won't have designed run plays, but he'll extend drives by running when warranted.

Ewers can move up in the draft next year. This year’s class is really strong. He would not be a first rounder.
They used to say if you're not going in the first round, you better stay in school. Then the last six years or so, players were either stupid or they were just fine with getting drafted at all. Leave school early, sit out of a bowl game, then get drafted in the 6th round. But now, there's the six and seven figure NIL deals! So that has suddenly led to more players staying in school. Who could have seen that coming??

Unless the NIL money goes away because he is the backup, where was his NIL money put him in the NFL as a backup QB?

Me I’d stay keep working and learning especially if the NIL stays in place.

Think I saw that he makes more per year as Texas’ backup than Purdy makes as the starter at San Francisco. If that tells you anything.

Niners are so tapped out. If they don’t win it this year, they are sunk. That roster is expensive
