Does anyone WANT to win the conference?

I just can't believe we let that golden opportunity slip away. Very frustrating. I know Darin didn't want to use Alvarado, and I get that. But Chad just has not been the same this year. Oh well, we going to today and if we win we still have a solid shot
Chad was just fine. His teammates booted two grounders that would have ended the game.
Bad day yesterday for all the leaders.
- Minnesota lost to Purdue
- We lost
- Michigan lost to MSU
- Maryland is on a bye week, oh, and they lost to High Point (three game skid for them)
- Indiana lost to OSU
Only Iowa won (beat Illinois) and sit in a three way tie for 3rd place.
Purdue, NW and MSU are scrambling for the last two spots in the B1G tournament.

My issue is why no mound visit to settle everyone down when the tying run was on 3rd? I still think once that game is tied you have to put in McSteen or Alavardo.Agreed. But it won't be the difference when you have a two run lead.
Alvarado was unavailable because he "wasn't feeling well." No elaboration on that meaning sickness or arm soreness or what.
Alvarado has been a witch on the mound (which ain't easy to do when you're coming in from playing the field) so I'm not going to question his toughness.
What is weird is our two most consistent pitchers this year play full time positions in the field as well
