What is your pre-season ritual?
Mine is a four week Husker game feast. Starting about a month from the season opener, every Saturday I watch a classic Husker game on Saturday morning. I get up before everyone, play a little tunnel walk pump up, make breakfast and a sometimes a Bloody Mary gets made and it's pre-season ritual time for me.
Last year, three of the four games I watched were from the '94 season:
1 - 1971 Game of the Century OU
2 - 1994 "The Turmanator Game"
3 - 1994 Colorado
4 - 1994 Victory over Miami (Warren, you need some oxygen man?)
This year the plan:
1 - (last Saturday) watched 1983 season ending Championship loss to Miami
2 - (tomorrow) 1995 Michigan State - Saban takes a beating
3 - 1970 end of season Orange Bowl win over LSU
4 - 1995 Florida (hey look, Nebraska just scored again)
My bride thinks it's corny, borderline dopey. Hey, you just don't understand Red-ness...
