He takes a more expansive look at things. 09-12 recruits:
’09:
Jason Ankrah, Thad Randle
2010:
Walker Ashburn, Jay Guy, Tobi Okuyemi, Chase Rome, Donovan Vestal
2011:
Joseph Carter, Todd Peat, Kevin Williams
2012:
Curry, McMullen, Moss, Valentine
Lots of swing and a miss. Ankrah, Carter and Rome started, the latter was a bit of a headcase. Williams and Randle were oft injured, with the former leaving town when we needed him. The guys that played were simply serviceable. McMullen and Valentine could have anchored a solid middle, but instead shot a hole in our depth chart.
Players and coaches cannot say enough good things about the Davis twins. Neal has gotten good reviews. Youth movements on offensive and defensive lines tend to not have happy endings in the season they occur. It would seem that at least one of the Davis will play significant snaps.
In Suh's Jr. and Sr. years, we had Crick and Terrence Moore as RS Frosh on the two deep, with Baker backing up Crick the next year. In the coming year, we have three guys we will rely on in Newell and the Davis twins who haven't played a snap in a game. Maurice was productive when he was able to play, but now will be our bell cow on the interior.
Good that the Oregon game isn't first one on the schedule.

Yikes. Time to grow up quick on the DL. Will be interesting next season. JP is the right guy to lead them in my view.

hopefully the young guys will hold up

situation really sucks - as an injury has the potential to be disastrous. You can have all conference talent across the board but a gaping hole in the defensive line can negate all of it pretty quickly.
