Did #59 Lutovsky play today?

What were our grades yesterday?

Kind of like always. Benhart the best of the average group and Corc was bad.

Take the grades with a grain of salt. Corcoran is taking one for the team by playing out there.

what grade is "average"?

pretty crappy run score grades across the board

thought that's where all the "improvement" was taking place?

NW’s DC is very good. They were calling the D to stop our run game. It’s one of the reasons we had guys open virtually every time we tried to pass. I’m not a big fan of that grading index. It’s pretty subjective without consideration of what the opponent is doing in their scheme.

I thought we did a pretty good job in pass pro yesterday for the most part. D was taking away running lanes. We hit that long pass play and had other guys running free because their safeties were looking in the backfield and crashing down in run support at times.

it's definitely en vogue these days to change the grading scale when your guys can't pass the test

PFF grades are probably racist, too

He took Piper's place.
No he didn't. And announcers said he did. I turned to everyone else in the room and said I didn't know we had a black pollock on the team .

It was Jenkins for sure. I was really impressed with him honestly

I know in this analytics era it’s popular to try to quantify everything with a number. As a scientist the first thing we were taught about data input was “shit in equals shit out”. No doubt Corcoran struggles at times but the fact is that at LT he’s normally drawing the toughest assignments. That isn’t accounted for by the grading systems. Either Rhule is a liar or he thinks we’re getting better. I’ll have to trust our head coach.

Then Jenkins moved to center for a series when Scott went out. Lutovsky came in then.

everytime Rhule heaps praise publicly the subject is rewarded with less responsibility

coach speak

and the PFF grades absolutely take assignments into account

Maybe you should suit up and we’ll see how you grade out at left tackle. I’m not a fan of riola but I see a big improvement in benhardt and I trust coach Rhule

How do they quantify the guy they’re trying to block on any given play? There’s way too many variables to end up with solid accuracy. I know you hate Raiola but I think he’s getting everything out of Austin’s and Frost’s recruits that he can.

everyone is graded, not just OL

How does PFF work? I don't understand how someone can grade random CFB games so quickly for every snap and every position.

60 is average.

The best players in the nation are in the 90’s.

For reference our best offensive and defense players yesterday were:

Haarberg 71.5

Hill 79.5
Robinson 78.5

Our worst were:

Corc 40.6

Lynum 55.6
