That's awesome and was a great read, but I was most encouraged by Riley's praise for TA and his passing. But yeah, Young sounds like the real deal. Good for him.

If a game were played today, the true freshman would be Nebraska’s starter at weakside linebacker over sophomore Marcus Newby.

But Husker linebackers coach Trent Bray makes an important distinction in regard to the competition at the position.

“It’s a promotion for Dedrick, not a demotion for Newby,” Bray said after Thursday's practice. “That’s the way we look at it. And it’s nothing set in stone. It’s constantly competition. But right now, Dedrick deserves those (first-string) reps, so that’s what he’s getting.”

Is there any chance that Newby is the "suspended starter" on D so they are getting young ready to play against BYU?

Maybe not as it sounds like Young is kicking butt in practice...
