Good point... Thanks for ruining my day.

0-star, 0-star, 2-star, 3-star, 3-star kicked from Oregon.

This board would have an epic meltdown with 2 0-stars and a 2-star.

Maybe not an epic meltdown but certainly a frustrated board. Are we chasing kids that are just out of our reach or are all slow playing their hand?

I just spent some time looking at the players who committed to Minnesota. Yes, the stars are not especially high in some but they have offers from good schools.
The 0 Star has offers from TCU, UNLV, Memphis. The 5.4 2 Star has offers from Northwestern, Missouri, and Houston. The QB who was replaced on the recruiting list of Oregon has offers from Michigan State, Iowa and Wisconsin. And one has an offer from UCF.
Time will tell if they are successful.

If some of the kids you really want haven't made up their mind yet what are you gonna do? We've got some commits from good recruits that fill key needs. A couple of late deciding difference makers can make this a really good class.

Hmmmmm, Memphis 9-3, not a bad record with some wins over decent teams. And some losses against some weak teams. And UNLV, who knows where they will end up. But still, laughing at a 9-3 record?

I think the larger point is, who cares what Minnesota did right before the dead period? If this is to imply that even Minnesota is a better program, or in better shape than Nebraska, that's clearly not the case. If we finish poorly after signing day, then that's another discussion entirely. We're reacting with more angst than we've seen in the last few years, and this is all caused by this year's record.

I'm going to wait to formulate my opinions until the day after Signing Day. I believe NU is in on some big fish. Often, those big fish weigh their options and announce later in the year.

Listened to a long discussion on the radio about OU only having 13 commits so far. A few folks were freaking out but overall the OU insiders were saying that those on the table could make this a really, really good class. Our table isn't quite set like OU's but we could end up in the 20-25 range. I think most were hoping for better than that but it is something we could live with. I thought the freakouts in the past over Bo not filling his class quickly were overblown...I think the same about Riley.
