Daniel Kaelin shined during tonight's Pro Day competition at the Elite 11 Finals. The Husker QB commit earned 43 points (out of 50) from the Elite 11 coaching staff and finished tied for 5th place out of the 20 QBs who competed. Official standings:
1 – Alabama 5-star commit Julian Sayin – 49 pts
2 – Texas Tech 4-star commit Will Hammond – 45 pts
T3 – Georgia 5-star commit Dylan Raiola – 44 pts
T3 – Notre Dame 4-star commit CJ Carr – 44 pts
T5 – Nebraska 3-star commit Daniel Kaelin – 43 pts
T5 – Colorado 3-star commit Danny O'Neil – 43 pts
T5 – Uncommitted 3-star Trever Jackson – 43 pts
T8 – Uncommitted 4-star Elijah Brown – 42 pts
T8 – Penn State 3-star commit Ethan Grunkemeyer – 42
T8 – LSU 4-star commit Colin Hurley – 42 pts
T8 – Florida 4-star commit DJ Lagway – 42
Kaelin had a decent all-around performance at Day 1 on Wednesday but was expected to bounce back in a big way during the Pro Day competition, and he delivered. Elite 11 wraps up tomorrow with the 7-on-7 tournament.
Funny note: They handed Kaelin the phone for the Instagram Live stream for the final QB of the night (Utah commit Isaac Wilson), and the stream was a lot more bearable (to use one word) with him running commentary.
