I know it might not last with the remaining schedule, but I thought it was note worthy that Nebraska holds the tie-breaker against Minnesota and Northwestern, who they are tied with at 5-6 in the league. that would make them the 6th seed for the B1G trny.

If they can go 4-3 and 5-2, both are possible, MSU and Wisky are very likely losses, the others are all winnable, then they could finish at .500 in league and a winning regular season. Quite the accomplishment in the 2nd year. GBR!

NU has good shot at that goal if they stay focused each play of every game. Wouldn't that be exciting, but won't get my hopes too high this early on because team has disappointed me in the past.

If they can go 3-2 to finish the year out, it would be difficult to foresee a situation where they wouldn't be the #6 seed in the tourney. That would be a very favorable first round match-up in the conference tourney and a real shot at finishing with 19 wins this year. I still think they need at least 20 wins to have any serious chance at the NCAA tourney (which would mean they would have to win every game they will be favored in (i.e. only losses to Wisconsin and second round of conference tourney).
