1. No one is running away with anything. It looks more and more like any of the 12 teams who make the playoffs will have almost an equal chance to go all the way.
2. The Braves have lost to injury, Acuna (last year's MVP), 2023 All Stars Riley, Albies, and Strider. 2022 Rookie of the Year Harris for about 1/3 of the season, and Minter, and they still have an 80% chance of making the playoffs. BTW Chris Sale will likely win the Cy Young.
3. The White Sox are epically bad, could be the worst record in the modern era before it's over.
4. Finally, last year's World Champion, the Rangers, are hopelessly out of contention, 11 games below .500.
