I know of one single redeeming quality of “Iowa” but interested if there are more? When I grew up we donated money and took “pop cans” to a recycling site in CB which was fun but also as anticipated; junk yard dogs, idiots out wandering around, etc., and then we would head back to the Good Life. I guess I’m glad we never got hurt.

Thanks.

There’s places to donate and take cans in Omaha. Keep it in-state Hoss!

Only redeeming thing of Iowa is the fictional plot of Saving Private James Francis Ryan…from Iowa. Thanks to all who served and who have been lost.

Tom Arnold’s sister. The “Queen of Meth” from Ottumwa. Fantastic documentary if you can find it online.

Also- the “King of Kong” documentary about cheating and backstabbing in the world of championship Donkey Kong ( way better than it sounds). Also centered around Ottumwa.

Not sure if it's true but some years ago Omaha had one of the highest STD rates in the country and it was blamed on ppl from CB coming to Omaha for treatment. Either way I have no issue with most people from CB. My son-in-law is from there, is a nationally recognized engineer and the biggest Husker fan I know.

That was 100% true at one time...don't know if it still is but that surprised me fo show.

So how did your son in law get the STD?

I know no one in here cares for an honest opinion, but Council Bluffs has definitely the most meth heads visible to the public eye per capita in the United States. I have worked over the bridge for 11 years of my life and I can tell you that is 100% fact. You want to see a shirtless 500 pound dude riding a bike... they got that too.

I do however think they have some hidden gem areas that get looked over, because all of the boarded up, burnt down old meth houses west of the viaduct. East of the Viaduct has some cool little areas around Barleys, but also the houses North of the Omni Center on the way to the Black Angel are actually some of the best in the metro area Nebraska side included

good view of omaha from that graveyard also

I live in Iowa and a lifelong fan and season ticket holder. I can’t stand Iowa football fans for the most part because of ridiculous anonymous posts. This thread is also ridiculous and you must be plenty bored to generalize about an entire community.

Who doesn't want to see that?

Not generalising a thing.
I like drunk chicks that fvck in bathroom stalls.

Looks like Iowa has them, so I am generalising I guess in that regard, oh yeah:

Iowa Sucks.

Trev Alberts is from Iowa. You would be willing to give up all your former Huskers who were Iowa H.S athletes! I think not!
Roger Craig, Kyle Vandenbosch. Pretty good players from iowa if you ask me.

That said, Council bluffs is not that great. I think we can all agree on that.
