Kamara RB for New Orleans used as a running back and receiver. Has 15 TD's on the year. 617 yards rushing and 510 yards receiving already. Can Maurice Washington do that?

He was making some insane plays at the college he attended last year. He was a rare talent
He has the greatest high school film I've ever seen, especially when he played for Sanders. Unbelievable talent.

But, the kid has cheated himself from any potential greatness that he had, he's probably 50% of the player he could have been at this point, had he not been so self-destructive.

He should have been 200#'s by now and one of the fastest backs, (and maybe the best) in the country.
He probably is still one of the fastest backs in the country, but he looked liked he weighed about 160#'s.

He had 589 yards rushing and 87 yards receiving as a 23 year old at Grambling State. He’s obviously fast, but I’m not sure he would have ever been more than a situational player at the P5 level.
Thunder Collins clone.

Dime-a-Dozen college player.

He kind of reminded me a bit of Tony Pierson from KU a few years back. Fast, electric, a threat to take it to the house anytime he touched the ball. But not durable enough to play more than about 10-15 snaps a game.

Sanders was an assistant coach at his HS, right? Also his personal mentor, correct?
I think Sanders was the head guy for that Trinity Christian team. They were loaded.

You can't be a D-1 back when you live on a diet of Chik fil A three times a day.
And spend all day loaded.

Yes, Maurice Washington can be the next Alvin Kamara. He already got thrown out of school. Now all he has to do is get arrested in Vegas.

He wasn’t, he was an Assistant. That’s right, 5 years ago he was a HS Assistant Coach (and mentor to Mo Washington).

If he were his mentor, and he was, seems like he would have tried to haul him out to Boulder. lol

Surprised he didn’t. I’m sure there would have been some hurdles (3rd school, academic and legal issues, etc), but still…..

I couldn’t find him on a NFL team. He still had a year of eligibility left, but no one has ever accused Mo of making good decisions.
He declared for the draft last January, but was not drafted. I think declaring for the draft made him ineligible to return to a college team.

I think this thread should have been titled "Maurice Washington could have been the next Alvin Kamara if he didn't sabotage himself". Dude was fast and a playmaker, but went down too easy when hit.

Right. I meant that declaring when he still had a year of eligibility left was a bad decision, especially when he had been out of football for two years and put up less than 600 rushing yards at Grambling.
