Chadwell must have got a nice raise because Liberty doesn’t seem like that much of a better prestige than CC

Yeah, that one did seem like a bit of a head scratcher lateral move at best type of situation. Maybe he feels he needs to prove he can be successful at multiple programs before he gets tapped for a P5 gig?

Some of these are not really "important" in the sense that they are at "who cares" teams.

Wisconsin is never winning.a NC, ever. So who their coach is doesn't really matter.

I read it as more of a "who will make the biggest impact" and/or "who was the biggest get." Hence the Riley hire to Clemson. I understand why he's #1 because that was a pretty big move from a national perspective. But, I'm not sure I could rank that hire as being a bigger deal than several head coaches behind him.

a lot of OC and DCs on that list - we hired 2 new ones as well

is Rhule's strength more on the offensive or defensive side of the ball?
how much will he be involved in the fine details of the Xs and Os and game planning with the coordinators?

i think coaches fall into a few broad categories

pure CEO - probably Ferentz now
Heach Coach /OC -- TO/Frost
Head Coach/DC -- Pelini
Head Coach/position coach -- Frank/Mickey Joseph

Perhaps Liberty is paying him more money than Coastal Carolina.

Set who up for what? Idc about a stupid Twitter ranking. It's just fun banter.
Oh I bet you would have cared if Walters was near the top of the rankings. And you would be bragging about it.

Just joking. You put that post on a tee.

I graduated from Purdue in 2007. I’m a fan too but I liked Nebraska first so..

Purdue grad, but have lived in Nebraska for a few years. The banter is fun. Haha

Na. These twitter rankings and preseason polls are worthless. Never tote them up as they are usually wrong. It just creates fun banter in a time of sports quietness.

Ok. You are right. You know me better than me. Even though you've never seen me hype up a Twitter ranking. Half these hires will be fired in 4 years. That's why it doesn't matter. Heck, walters or rhule could be fired in 4 years. Don't expect it, but it's absolutely worthless. But tell me why I care... lol

I’ve seen you brag about Purdue on here without any justification.

Last year I did. Put my money where my mouth was as well. 2 years ago I did. They won 8 or 9 with the bowl? Can't remember. The early years of Brohm, it was clear he was building to the last 2. Seems justified. I'll also brag on what Walters is going to do if you want. I'm in love with the hire. He's going to be good. Those brags also had 0 to do with random tweets and everything to do with my thoughts. Slightly different.
