So they are predicting a high of 24 for the game this coming Friday. We play it at that temperature?

I found this to probably answer my own question …

28 degrees

Games shall not be played if the “RealFeel” temperature for the facility on AccuWeather.com is less than 28 degrees. If the temperature at one hour prior to the game is less than 28 degrees, but the forecast indicates the temperature will reach 28 degrees by the start of the game, teams may begin pre-game warm-ups.

Is that a real rule?

Yes. I remember it coming into play often a couple years ago.
I remember the Creighton game in Omaha when Mort injured his shoulder on the last play of the game to pull out the win....that game HAD to be below 28 by the end. One of the coldest baseball games I've ever attended. Starting crowd was probably 8k, less than 500 when it ended.

My testicles still haven't come out of hibernation from that night, which is concerning for a 71-year old.

RealFeel includes many factors in its formula so an air temperature of 24 with calm winds and bright sunshine might allow play. But I try not to trust any weather forecast beyond 24 hours, anyway. :)

Mort was always one of my favorites. That kid stood close enough to shake hands with the batter when he thought a bunt was coming at 3B.

Any idea on LBSU's travel plan? Sunday looks to be the best day on the weekend by far.
