don't the concessions people see the drunkest fanbase lists?!?!

lines so bad Trev had to say something lol

They had the concession stand on the south floor entrance closed. I thought that was odd. Anyone using the floor access had to go upstairs to purchase booze. They had a couple big portable chests floating around but again, on the upper level.

The concession workers say that the reason that HALF OF THE CONCESSION AREAS ARE CLOSED is because they cannot find enough workers. In any case, this issue is nothing new. The lines were longer at the Purdue game three weeks ago.

The jackass management at PBA are trying to suck as much income off NU home games as they possibly can. Does NU get a share of the concessions? I'm trying to think of what PBA's angle is to have such sh*tty service for the fans/tax payers who are keeping the place open.

If Trev Alberts spent half as much time on serving the fans as he does plotting ways to raise fees, the massive lines would not ever have existed in the first place.
Do you even understand the University doesn’t run concessions at PBA? Husker fans sound like Demonrats, having to blame someone for something they have no control over. The lines are bad at Women’s games as well, and no, it’s not because of beer… like the resident alcoholics jump right to. They don’t have any stands open, because there are no workers

I edited my comment after I remembered that, but like I said in my post. It's bad for all home games. My question is why? And I agree with you about Democrats. If only they were more like Republicans, since we never complain about anything.

Why? Because we pay people to not work?
Hell, I don’t know why. It sure as hell doesn’t happen at Devaney for Volleyball, because volunteers fill those stand for every event to make some cash for organizations they represent. I don’t know how to “fix” the issues at PBA, but it’s no longer as simple as hanging up a “help wanted” sign, when that same sign is in every window.

how much is a beer? at a captive event, it has to be pretty high.. If I owned a concessions stand, I would be staffing it hand over fist to make sure there was NO wait at all.. get every overpriced beer sold as fast as you can in what is only a couple hour event.. seems to me, the business owners aren't even trying.

The workers will be there if you pay them enough money. It's not a bad part-time gig and Lincoln's a college town with lots of retirees.

My question is does PBA share concession revenue with the university or get all of it?

This is why I will never step foot inside PBA again. It's like this for every event.

"The concession workers say that the reason that HALF OF THE CONCESSION AREAS ARE CLOSED"

I wondered about that. When the PBA first opened I marveled at how many concession stands there were.

Does PBA not use the same model as CHI in that concession staff are ‘volunteers’ from area non profits? These would be folks who are earning a % of the drawer for their little league team, Boy Scouts or marching band. Werner Park uses method for staffing as well.

Do they not have volunteer programs run concessions out there? CHI and the Baseball stadium in Omaha both have groups run the concessions to make money for their program. Some are church groups, some are parents of youth sports teams. That is the best way to do it. They all want and need money.

That’s the way it works at Devaney. No idea about PBA. I would think it would be way better if so
