Coach Prime Smart Decision

Offense for Colorado has less than 60 yards total in the first half, gets the ball at their one 4 yard line with 44 seconds in the half, decides to attempt 96 yards in 44 seconds. Threw 2 incomplete passes in a row. Had to punt, and Oregon State ended up scoring. Instead of 7-3 at half, now 14-3 Oregon State.

That, my friends, is great coaching.

And then the coaching staff bags on the defense for giving up a TD that was handed to the Beavers on a silver platter.

What a stupid sequence, especially considering that CU's kicker is reliable enough, but his range is probably not even 40 yards. They had zero chance of getting points there.

Head coach too busy making commercials to learn clock management.

Colorado got the ball on their 5 yard line with 30 seconds to go in the half in their game against Oregon State. The Buffaloes Brain Trust thought passing on all 3 downs was a good idea. Did not move the ball. Forced to punt. Oregon State got a good punt return plus a 5 yard penalty against the Buffs for an illegal formation that put the ball at the Colorado 25. OSU scored a TD pass on the very first play. Colorado could have run out the clock with the score 7-3 in favor of the Beavers. Now it is 14-3 at half.

Shedeur just took a knee in the pocket to avoid another hit. This wasn’t a slide. It was just a collapsing pocket and I don’t wanna get hit so I’ll take a knee. Never seen anything like it.

He’s taken a beating this year, and now taking knees to avoid hits.
Haven’t seen that since Brett Favre took a dive to let Michael Strahan break the sack record

Just flipped on game. Talk about a stupid coaching decision. Take off the XP after a penalty when you are ahead 20-3 to go for two. Serves them right that they fumbled and CU got two the other way.

I don’t think many football coaches are Mensa members. So many examples of just brain dead decisions.

That was a dumb decision. But unless Colorado can somehow string together about 10 defensive 2-point conversions, they’re done.

Another example of why the microwave mindset and instantaneous reaction people tend to look foolish. Will CU end up good during the time Sanders coaches there, if he stays for three or four years maybe. But the Heisman type and playoffs talk after the second and third week was foolish. The receipts talk and the trademarking everything possible and flashing the jewelry, making everything personal and making The Real World CFB version was self focused and self centered. When things aren’t going as scripted, where are the hype machine makers and the disciples of the coach holding on every word with blind defending of the coach.

They will have three games to get to a bowl game. Need two wins to do it. Feel for the players who took the initial hype as truth and chased the sizzle without understanding the substance wasn’t going to be very substantial.

CU may lose but Sanders outcoached the OSU coach. Some really stupid decisions by him, but they have more talent.
Not sure I agree… OSU was in complete control for 3 1/2 quarters of this game. Colorado finally got some things going with 8 minutes left in the game. What were the stupid decisions by HC smith besides the 2 point conversion?

"Running the ball to end the half"

Does not pair at all with

"Throwing the ball so my kid can pile up stats"

Well Deion's strategy of passing the ball all the time is going to damage his kid permanently. What was the preseason scouting report for Colorado and the number one concern of the team? All the analysts thought they would have good skilled players but lack a good offensive and defensive line. It is showing up Big Time in Pac 12 play. They can't stop an opponent who has a good ground attack and most importantly Shedeur is getting the crap kicked out of him. He has no protection and is running for his life. The wheels have fallen off and it is getting ugly.

Not so sure Deion wants to submit the game tapes to the coach of the year committee. Remember when people like Joel Klatt were talking about that possibility. Boy! September was a great month for CU. I had the sound off as I put the CU game on my smaller TV and started watching UCLA @ Arizona on my larger TV with the sound. What was going on at the end of the game? Deion was arguing with the woman Side Judge about what I am guessing had something to do with the clock. CU had a TO remaining.

Colorado’s defense has actually been pretty decent the past two games. Not great, but keeping them in the game and making opponents work for their yardage. Offense is completely lost though. Really stepped in it last night when they only turned two OSU fumbles into 3 points, as well as the fiasco at the end of the first half. Can’t believe they keep sending out five receivers into patterns when most plays the QB doesn’t even have a prayer of getting to his second option.
