Good heavens the players love him and his practices are unreal! His staff is air tight close and the culture has changed! He's running around the field pumping everyone up!

Many years from now, sports historians will regard this as Nebraska's greatest mistake. The failure to hire Scott Frost will doom Nebraska to the recycle bin of college football programs. Fans (the few that remain) will sit sullenly in Memorial Stadium and whisper "what if?" to the heavens, but there will be only silence for an answer.

That's nice.

I try to be level headed and not dramatically overreact, so I'm glad others can step in for me...

How bout we let him coach a year or two, before anointing him the next TO.

Weis certainly destroyed KU football a lot more than Turner. Turner was there one year. ONE. Good god that guy gets so much unneccessary BS and blame it's unreal...

100% agree that KU football is a way worse gig than UCF. Glad to read that Scott Frost seems to be relating well in his duties...let's see how it translates into W/L's. Frankly his name on message boards should be off limits for at least the next year as it does 0 good to speculate when Riley isn't going anywhere.

Actually Turner was @ KU for two years. But carry on.

Gill was there for 2 years and never had his guys in the weight room. I had never seen a team look so small compared to other Power 5 teams. Also kids didn't go to class.

Weis didn't help, but he at least got the trouble makers out and got the kids in the classroom.

I'm very intrigued to see Frost in the next two or three years. He went to one of the best Group of 5 teams, in a fertile recruiting area and it has decent fan support. He should make a lot of connections in the southeast and I hope he does well. It's the perfect first head coaching job for him.

Two years...one...doesn't really matter. The notion that Weis cleaned house and Turner never made his players go to class is a complete joke. Weis brought in a record amount of juco's...anyways, this thread shouldn't be about KU football nor should we care what Frost does since our current coach isn't going anywhere.

Methinks we should wait until he has coached a game as head coach before predicting he'll be the head man at an SEC school. I'm not saying he will or won't be great, but lets see some results before anointing him the next big thing.

Wait for somebody to actually prove themselves? What a party pooper. It's so much more fun and easier to indulge your fantasies and declare somebody to be a success before they've even coached a game. I mean we all know he is absolutely guaranteed to be a success, right? Nobody who people are sure is going to be a success has ever failed, have they?

No way, why wait to declare him great? It's intuitively obvious to even the most casual of observers that Frost = National Championship. He has it all: Nebraska ties, a lengthy proven track record of coaching success, and the ability to recruit 6 star kids out of high school. UCF is championship bound. Our loss.

More than likely he will eventually be the Head Coach at Nebraska....
Only time will tell.

Probably be DL moving to head spot from offensive coordinator. Sound familiar to anything in Husker history?

In the fantasyland future I've peeked into, I could see Langsdorf feeling the pull back to the NFL rather than stay here.

Holy Crap, i totally missed the sarcasm the first post you made... my bad. You did a much better job in your second post insuring that even the dumbest (me) couldn't miss the sarcasm...

Good Job!

Guilty as charged. :) I'm a Riley supporter/honk/apologist. I think he's great for our program. And I'll continue to think that, like I've done with most of our past coaches, until or unless it's time not to.

I thought you were a Riley guy, but I get easily confused sometimes. Really appreciated the way you let me know. :)

FIFY!
However, I agree with your post.

If Frost does good and makes himself into a good coach, id love to see Riley retire and the keys get passed off to Frost after he gets in good at Florida and we are already in good with Cali. Thats the best case deal though.
