Clemson or Nebraska?

I smell a bowl match up.
Well EJ thought Ajay Allen wasn’t better than our other backs and Ajay looked pretty dam good last night against Clemson. Had both the game winning TD and 2 point conversion in OT. So I guess that means if we played them, we’d rush for like 300

Yep, was watching that game and thinking it’d be nice to have him

Ajay was only here because of Applewhite. What makes you think he was ran off?

When his D coordinator left I knew they would slide downhill. There is really no reason for Clemson to stay being a top program anyhow.

You like to make up narratives that aren't true. Your post are comical at this point.

If that was true why’d he stick around all fall? True Applewhite got him here but he at least gave it a chance without him. Why do I think he was ran off? Cause he was like 5th in our depth chart in spring.

Why was he 5th on our depth chart? Because he was dogging it. It’s pretty simple. And Rhule was pretty clear about wanting players that want to be here. If he wasn’t all in (which he wasn’t), as good as he may have been, Rhule wants players who want to be here.

Now if you want to argue that it was Rhule’s job to convince him why he should want to be here, fair enough. But he was buried on the depth chart because he was dogging it, by MULTIPLE accounts, and if you keep a guy like that elevated on the depth chart, you risk losing the guys putting in the work. Rhule isn’t gonna risk that.

This 100%.

Maybe because he was hurt and he didn't have a portal offer he wanted. You can make up whatever narrative you want. He came to NU for one coach and had no other interest in being here. Kind of like Palmer and Mickey.

Dabo better get with the times (NIL and transfer portal) or the downward trend will continue.

You are correct. Why Bama is slowly failing. Others can buy athletes now too. Question is why don’t We…

Yep, I don't think it's as much getting with the times for Dabo as much as the times have caught up with him. Notoriously paid players and ran it all through the church (at least that's what I always heard). Now with NIL, other programs can do it legally and it has evened the playing field, negating Clemson's competitive advantage.

You literally just made up a narrative. Literally. “He didn’t have a portal offer he wanted?”Where’s that documented. Seriously you’re the one making up shit. How old are you? Grow up

“Kind of like Palmer and Mickey?” Oh did Palmer hang around after Mickey exited?

And yes, Kids commit to coaches all the time. Duh . But if you’re argument the reason he stuck around is all he wanted to do is prove to other teams he was heathy, that is pure speculation. It’s not fact from the evidence we have been given. So that’s you making up a narrative.

All you’ve done in this thread is speculate as well. 100%. At least listen to the multitude of people connected to the program who said he was dogging it and not putting in the work.

If that isn’t enough, look at the video that shows him dogging it. Are the coaches supposed to elevate him when he’s dogging it? Seriously, help me understand why you think he should have been higher on the depth chart when he wasn’t putting in the work… I’m all ears.

f’n dogs and leaders. How much did CU pay for theirs? I asked you a while back and don’t think I got an answer.

Not really my argument, but I don't know what sCUm has to do with this? They definitely have a few high value NIL guys, but they're a total outlier. All 3 of their top 100 NIL players are there because of Deion. The NIL money followed them, not the other way around. I don't think it works that way for the vast majority of players when it comes to NIL.

What evidence have you provided he was ran off?

Most of $10M for their top 3.

Would we be a better team with talent like the Sanders kids and Travis Hunter on Our team?

Ignore they’re Deion’s kids. Purely hypothetical. Deion doesn’t exist. You get to keep Rhule as your coach. No sellin Merch @ halftime. Money just gets deposited in their bank accounts. Are we a better team with that level of talent in their respective positions?

Where are you getting this? Are you just doing your usual throw crap against the wall and see what sticks, or do you have verifiable information.

I want to understand, when you said Neon was getting f’n dogs and leaders, you were referring to 2 or 3 players? Is that correct?

Are we a better team if we have two of the better-at-their-position players in the country? Probably. So would about 130 other programs. What’s your point? Is it that more talented teams win more often than less talented teams?

Same rumor I've heard here in SC about Dabo and the church.

NIL valuations are readily available. Have posted them here probably a dozen times in the last year. On3’s puts just Sanderses + Hunter at just over $8M.

You’ll have to ask Deion where one moniker picks up and the other ones end. I lost my iCloud recently so I don’t have his cell # anymore :/

My entire point (as it’s been the entire time) is that there are other teams, not including us, in D1 Football who have recognized that the best talent in college football is being paid for. There are other programs, like 130 of them, but still not us evidently, who understand the concept of Market Value.

What’s fun is witnessing so many folks here lamenting the very visible problem with talent we have at, say Quarterback. One example. A whole lotta (most?) of the more talented QBs, those who might give us some immediate and visible improvement there, are already being paid by other teams. A lot of em are probably being paid by other teams riding the bench. Think about that for a second.

There are a lotta things that’ll take time and patience to figure out in restoring a Neglected football program… but some things are gonna take Money, and that’s just the realty of college football RIGHT NOW. Maybe it changes, but maybe the cat’s just outta the bag now. Gonna be hard to yank that chain back and Un-pay them. It’d be like cutting Medicaid benefits. Be WWIII.

We have a definite ceiling in terms of how much better we’re gonna get, the way Rhule is apparently wanting to structure this rebuild. He’s voiced not wanting to see paid players, and most of y’all are PROUD of that fact, somehow. IMHO hope you’re proud of Mediocrity.

Agree completely. Add in that Dabo's only had 2 scholarship portal additions (both back up qb's) since the transfer portal began and they're going in reverse. Miami proved that Saturday.

We beat Dabo in the Gator Bowl in Pelini and Dabo's first year. Wouldn't mind playing them again. It would be a 14-10 type game.

As for the same record, it is whatever. I'm excited we are likely going back to a bowl this year, but that is more about Clemson falling off than us reaching a high level.

This didn’t age well.
