Christian Burkhalter

6'5", almost like the staff is targeting kids with that frame or something...

Three random observations:

1) His highlight tape is interesting in that the second play is him blowing up a guy who undercuts the focal point of the play and the third play is him Supermaning a tackle on the sideline. Not unimpressive by any means, just a little different than I'm used to seeing - very physical nonetheless.

2)TOS shows him getting offered today.
Rivals doesn't show him with an offer.
He tweeted that he was offered on February 20.

3) He plays at the same high school as one time Nebraska DB commit Jonathan Cook.

Well the caveat on this kid is there’s only one CB and it’s from Mike Schaefer, so not sure we can say this is much of a lock yet.

Dudes a legit prospect. He’s a borderline 4 star on Rivals and 24/7. And he’s already getting crystal balls for the Huskers after a zoom meeting or what ever that is. A TE/LB prospect for us...GBR

Yet we recruit a bunch of 5'10" receivers. It would be nice if we could target bigger kids at that position too.

Spitting images of each other too. Genetics really are incredible.

No kid is a lock until signing day. The thing we can infer from Schaefer putting out a crystal ball is that there is legitimate interest.

Lots of kids with legitimate interest that don't have a CB. We can infer that Schafer has information that he thinks is credible that told him this kid is likely going to commit to Nebraska.

Mike Schaefer is 191/258 all-time with his crystal ball predictions. That's a correct prediction rate of 74.03%.

For reference, Steve Wiltfong is 2441/2704 all-time with his predictions, or a correct prediction rate of 90.27%. Wiltfong has not yet put in a crystal ball for Burkhalter.

As a caveat, I don't know Wiltfong's strategy, like if he generally only puts in a crystal ball after multiple other local experts do so or what, but certainly he has some sort of strategy that leads to him being very accurate on the national stage.

Regardlesss, both of these guys seem to be right more than they're wrong. GBR!
