Chris Mullen hires away Kentucky assistant

I don't know if St John's has the "resources" to recruit like SEC powerhouse Kentucky.

Just an honest question. John Calipari has built up the reputation of coaching players that all land in the NBA. Do you think in order to land high caliber players at this junction any additional SEC money is required to lure these players?

I am not saying that in fact he (or boosters) have ever paid to get talent there, but I do wonder how much effort it must require to recruit the A-list at this point.

I'd pretty much think they could recruit 4 - 5 top 50 players every year based on their performance on the court (NCAA tournament showings) and the ability to place guys in the NBA.
