Chest Protectors

My grandkids wore a chest protector when playing little league baseball and softball. Amazon sells these for adults as well. Does the NFL or NCAA players use them. Here is the description I found from one vendor. After last night just curious as to what kind of protection these young men use. Thanks for your input.
