Hawkeye checking in. Yous guys optimistic after camp? We're not necessarily confident. Lotta new faces on the roster and on the coaching staff. My boss is a Husker fan (from SW Iowa) and one of us has to be at the office on a given work day barring mutual emergency. PTO at my work place is prioritized based on seniority, but holiday PTO is swapped fairly. He got black Friday last year and, in hindsight I was thrilled to get the time around Christmas. Minor personal victory.

For real though, with Reilly bringing up his younger guys and having the older guys on the same page, do you feel better about the team who will be doing the tunnel walk this year?

Really, it depends on who you're asking... Huskerland seems divided on this one. Anywhere from 10 wins to 6 wins... Although I believe most are in the 8-9 win range.

There is a lot of confidence in the new QB, as well as the new defense.

Just looked at your schedule. You guys also have a rough crossover schedule with OSU and PSU. 8-9 wins would not be indicative of a bad team. Maybe not up to your standard, but probably a decent bowl slot.

We're in "we have no idea" mode. There was a lot of shake-up with the offensive staff and we're young outside. We're also young in the secondary.

I'm ready for football to start.

Best of luck until Black Friday!

Yep, we are more than ready here as well. It's tough when you aren't sure what to expect, and the only way to know is to see the games played.

Football can't get here fast enough.

I think most Nebraska fans have the same questions as you. But now that Riley has enough pieces in place to run the kind of offense/defense he wants to run, this season should be very telling if Riley has us pointed in the right direction or not. While I don't expect the record to look drastically different than it has recently this year, I think we'll be able to tell a lot about where this program is headed. There does seem to be a bit more optimism coming out of camp this year but we really won't know until they get on the field.
