Charles Barkley says need to average 1.5 points per shot to be good.

Palmer 6 for 17 with 4 free throws 17 points only 1 point per shot. He didn't meet Barkley standards. Allen 6 for 9, 5 for 6 in 3s with 1 free throw. 18 points on 9 shots 2 points per shot very efficient. I think Barkley has a valid point. Shoot better and also more freethows will help in this stat area.

He also doesn’t show up when the team needs him most. He has been a phantom in a lot of these games.

IMO, I think it is the lack of a consistent outside game that has hurt Palmer. It has allowed teams to pack in the defense and kept him from getting to the rim.
