Casino Gambling in Nebraska

Lincoln and Omaha both already have race tracks, so no casinos would need to be built, they might need to add on depending on what they want to offer but both establishments are fairly big and Lincoln for sure has plenty of land to add on if necessary.
Not to mention, the track in Lincoln is in a great area with plenty of room for additional development... restaurants, shops, etc. The city already did a decent amount of work there awhile back when they thought a big box was going to build there. Lot of opportunity there in my opinion.

If they all sports betting, those places will be packed on Husker Saturdays.

It will not be people that are "risking it all" it will be doods there having fun and putting 20 dollars on the Skers to win...or some prop bet for the game, while watching the games, with their buddies and drinking and eating.

Millions Really? Do have something to backup this wild accusation?
Go back and look at all the lobbyist registration lists over the past 30 years and the financial reports for the organizations opposing various ballot initiatives. It will absolutely add up to millions of dollars.

And you will have further evidence that you don't have the slightest idea what you are talking about.

The only constant in this opposition is Tom Osborne so you are saying he accepted millions from those organizations to be the vocal leader of the opposition.

When did I say that, Goober? Lots of well-known people have opposed expanded gambling in Nebraska without getting paid to do so - Osborne being the best example. But many people have been paid to lobby against expanded gambling and to run campaigns against expanded gambling - some of them good friends of mine - and I can tell you that the bulk of the financing came from Iowa casino interests. That's the point I've been trying to drive into your concrete head for several weeks now.

He's not saying that at all. Tom is the face of the movement in Nebraska, but lobbyists have many other ways of spending dollars to promote their cause. Geez, do a little leg work.

The whole debate seems rather pointless now after the election regardless of which side you were on.

So pumped to get racing back from February through hopefully October. Fonner Park, Horsemens Park, Lincoln, Columbus, Atokad would be a ridiculously fun circuit for Nebraska horse racing fans.

He's just trolling and has no skin in the game whatsoever, just like the dudes that are allegedly "Husker" fans, cough cough um jlb321....

I tried it once, didn't work out. I don’t with this political situation in country how will change the situation directly but after reading all your guys opinions I understand that between us and casinos is one river I will play casinos online on some website, even tough I’m already for one week on click here and sincerely I don’t have that adrenaline rush as my being there, but I’m really thinking this is what will do in near future. Don’t how things will go after this year finishes, my wife is completely sure that there will be a second lockdown with even more strict rules towards all citizens.
