I live near the Millard Airport, typical 15-20 year old roof, needs replacing bad. Can somebody give me the name of a real professional who will roof it correctly and whose truck(s) won't drip a quart of oil on my street during the day? I would greatly appreciate it. I know very little about a lot of stuff, but roofing is a new kind of stupid for me. I need an honest roofer to tell me what I need, and the min. amount to spend to have it done right. Thanks to anyone who might reply...

Hey... @RONHUSK15 is your neighbor! You could try asking him (if he hasn't ate all his contacts yet)
Sorry, had to. Maybe someone can actually help you out.

Do not use H & H as they will charge a 15% fee if you don't want to go with them. They will act like they will give you a free estimate, but if you read the fine print (bullet number 2 or 3) it will say the 15% fee if you don't choose them. Most people don't notice it, but then your stuck. I have also watched them install a roof in the rain in Norfolk and it looks like crap. They were previously A&A roofing.

Do not use Valley boys or Millard roofing.

I would go with Pyramid roofing or White Castle.

I am in the insurance industry and have dealt with a lot of contractors over the years. I agree about NOT using Millard Roofing.

They would play hell getting 15% from any person with an ounce of backbone. I would just laugh at them.

Rich Poisel (the Handsome Roofer) put new roofs on all of my acreage buildings following a series of hail storms near the Blair/Bennington area a few years back. They did an excellent job.

Guys this thread is over 4 years old....found a great roofer who apparently has removed his post in this thread cause I don't see him now....got divorced since then, moved out of that house with the sweet new roof and A/C unit (which sucked cause I did not get all that money back in the sale), etc etc etc....and we hired a new football coach you may have heard about....used to play QB for us and i'm pretty excited about him...gonna make the B1G adjust to us now instead of the other way around...he's so good he can turn kids with only one hand into NFL players. So sit back and relax, good things are right around the corner.

Sorry for bumping. When I wanted to repair my roof, I took a look at this thread and I want to say that all advice is wrong. Thanks that I came across the best metal roofing Sydney company because they made a free inspection of my house's roof and told me that it had to been changed. They found many problems and the unique solution was to change it. However, I took them to make all the works, I was surprised because they worked fast and all the roof was changed in some days. Moreover, they offered me 3 annual inspections for free.

A shout out to Pyramid Roofing, ask for Ryan the owner. He is brothers with the owner of Goodlife bars in Omaha, so there's that.

Didn't one of the owners of The Good Life bar embezzle a bunch of money while at Tiburon golf club?

Not Husker Roofing in Omaha.. the guy is a douche .. had his gf pretend to be OSHA so she could 'ding' his crew of illegals and told me that they would not be paid. They took this anger out on my roof that afternoon.. he pocketed the insurance money and I felt like I was wrongly part of something that shouldn't have been.

South O Roofing. Talk to Byron he is good people. If anything get some bids and remember cheaper isnt better.

Indeed, finding a good roofer isn't that easy. However, I would like to say that a 15-20-year-old roof doesn't always need replacing.
You should keep open the roof repairing option as it is cheaper, and in case you find the right specialist, the quality won't suffer at all.
I also believed that my roof was too old it needed replacing badly, but luckily, I found a company that provides roof replacing and repairing services.
I contacted them, and they came to me for an inspection.
Finally, we decided that it would be better to repair the current roof, which was a good idea.
If you would like to find more information about the company I am talking about, read more here.

I know what you mean because I encountered a similar situation last winter. The roof of my parents' old house had long since ceased to meet the requirements of reliable material and protection from precipitation. For this reason, we decided to find good roofers to improve this situation and protect my parents from other roof problems. To do this, I contacted several companies comparing prices for services, reviews of their work on the Internet, and other vital issues. I was curious, so I personally talked to the operators of these companies. The best option for me was https://tdhomepro.com/, so I suggest you use it if you still need help.

if it's shingles make sure you have plenty ice & water shield in the valleys, and I like to put it behind the gutter (behind the gutter keeps it ice from building up and leaking in your soffits during winter), and up 3 rolls at least, depending on the pitch. the rest you can use 30 pound felt

I used to know a few mexicans who had crews...but one got ran ragged and the other....if I suggested him he would probably have a oil spill...lol

sometimes it may pay to keep your eyes open for roofing crews, (you might be able to cut out the the white guy who just makes profit. and save a few thousand) and ask a mexican crew member..they just get paid by the square and do side jobs on the weekend
