BYU's had some tough games, looks like they're..

running out of gas at Michigan. Michigan is getting better, they might be the team to beat at the end of the year instead of tOSU.

Michigan not a good match-up for BYU. Michigan D very good last year and looking better this year.

No doubt they are getting better - but to say they will be in tOSU league is a stretch. BYU has not played that great of competition.

They're worn down.. Playing that stretch of games to open a season would be rough for most..

BYU is getting beat badly because Michigan is playing solid defense and aren't making mistakes on offense.

Uuummmmmm ok? It's called football kind of how it goes???

the point is .. why don't people give Michigan and Harbaugh some credit for hammering a team that beat us with playing their 2nd string QB for much of the 2nd half and took #9 UCLA down to the wire rather than focusing on how beat down BYU allegedly is

No stretch at all, Michigan has very good talent and now a coach that can get them there. May not happen this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if they beat tOSU. The Buckeyes aren't exactly lighting it up this year and they are not getting better like Michigan is.

I said after the Utah loss Michigan would only get better.. You could just see and feel the team soaking in the culture JH was teaching.. They never wavered from the process and kept pounding..

Maybe BYU is a mediocre Mountain Westish type team that a bunch of apologists wanted to build up into something much more than they are.

BYU is a decent Mountain West team that was a bad match up for Nebraska. Having said that, if Nebraska had played BYU in their forth game as opposed to their first game of the season I believe Nebraska beats them handily. BYU was a bad match up but the were a worse match up for Nebraska's first game under a new staff.

I didn't see you saying this after the Boise and UCLA game.

Let's see. How many threads about BYU have been started since they beat us? Now, it seems like there's been quite a few threads talking about how we don't have any talent, and I have commented in some (not all) of those. But those "let's throw the players under the bus" threads were not specifically about BYU. I have remained pretty consistent in terms of my "mediocre Mountain West type team" opinion. I tend to comment in only a minority of threads. I don't feel a need to say the same thing over and over again, even though it sometimes works out that way.

Are/were you one of the people saying how BYU was going to be one of the 4 playoff contender teams and now you're upset? I can tell you that the sun will set today and it will get dark. Do you want me tell you 15 times the sun will set today and it will get dark?

Like how we're beating a mediocre C-USA team handily?

Harbaugh's team is showing major improvement from week to week. We seem to be making many of the same mistakes.

Their defense has always been good, and he kept Mattison for continuity. Offensive system isn't really different either. Just no Hoke brain farts and someone that will stick with what he believes in giving the entire team an identity.

I agree – it looks like we have things figured out in our fourth game.

Nope, I wasn't. You were pretty silent though when they beat a good Boise team and played with UCLA to the last down. I haven't said squat about BYU besides that they were a solid team. I stand by that.

Michigan front 7 was good last year but the db were not that great . hoke had a college lb who had never coached any other position coaching db. harbaugh hired 2 db coaches who played and coached db in the nfl. its amazing how much better the db are

Michigan had some great opportunities to beat Utah in Salt Lake. Well look at what Utah just did to Oregon.

Btw, BYU has not been shut out in a long, long time. I went all the way back to their 2011 schedule and still couldn't find them being shut out.

Btw, I think the overrated award goes to MSU. They've not impressed me thus far. They were lucky to beat Oregon.

Michigan is for real again.

Boise, Nebraska, UCLA, name three other teams that have played better teams so far.

Brady had M playing a spread o. JH shit canned that before the lst practice and said he would. Boring, successfulla, old fashioned, call it what you like, power football will work in todays age and just maybe, the availability of players i hs that has this talent vs spread might be an advantage?
