OMAHA
Broken Bow has a real nice one now, but just ate in Marshalltown Iowa and it was very clean and well prepared.

I believe I may have eaten at a Taco John's in Billings Montana while on vacation once but I don't remember for sure. If it was a Taco John's it wasn't something worth remembering. JMHO

Ah a 2 Taco Burgers, an order of potato Ole's & an extra order of that famous cheese sauce(the brand name Que Bueno btw).
The cleanest one I've been to is in York.

Aww Taco Johns is our equivalent to Del Taco
I'm sure it is and so it isn't worth remembering to me. I do eat at a Del Taco every once in a while but try to avoid if I can. There are better choices which sometimes include my own kitchen. Examples:

Stuffed Poblano Pepper

Sonoran Breakfast Enchiladas

Jerk Shrimp Tacos with Tostones

Chicken Enchiladas with Mexican street corn and Watermelon salad.

Ceviche Tostadas

I'll leave you hungry for more! :)

IIRC, you make a lot of that stuff on your Egg? I have been looking at one of them very hard recently. If I didn't need a new deck I'd already have one, but I fear it will collapse and break it.
No not an "Egg". Big Green Egg is the brand everyone knows but I have a Primo Oval XL ceramic kamado. Great for grilling. Here's a pic with 20 giant pieces of chicken on it.

and standard size pieces.

It sears a great steak

cooks a mean pizza

and even cooks the Thanksgiving Turkey

The difference (IMHO) is the Oval shape is a little more versatile.

Eggs are also great along with Kamado Joe's and a number of others.

REALLY, We're talking on the road, 7pm, wife gone, live on the edge, dope smoking munchies(friend from the late 70's) type of food and you throw this crap out here. Get a grip. Winking

Not the cleanest of places (North Platte and McCook), but I love me some TJs.

6pack and a pound.

The TJs in McCook stopped serving taco burgers!

The wife and kids don't care for TJs, but I force them to sometimes because I love it.

Only thing I don't like about Taco Johns is you have to tell them all "Not much ice", because they all use the chipped ice and will fill your cup with so much ice that after two sips your drink is done. Otherwise Taco Johns is the bomb. I like the grilled stuffed taco. I usually just go through drive thru though, so can't tell you what most are like inside.

Deadwood, SD was some of the best TJ's that I have eaten. The new one in Rapid City on Main St. is also good and clean (since it's so new).

Never had a bad Taco Johns experience. But avoid Tacoville (in Omaha) at all costs. Worst Mexican food ever.

Taco Johns usually has great brewed Ice Tea. I hear ya on the ice.

the first one in omaha was a block away from me on 83rd and maple. they brought the whole building in on back of a semi, and just dropped it off. I watched while siting on my 5 speed bike, it was the late 70's. I been eating taco johns since. they got rid of the enchilada in the silver pan, but they still sell beefy burritos

We're builiding a house right now and my first purchase will be an egg or a kamando (etc) after we move in. I have a decent charcoal grill now, but I am so pumped to upgrade.

I don't know about Taco Johns, but there used to be a Taco Juans in Mission, SD. Always was afraid to eat there.
