9/26/2008: First big recruiting weekend under Bo Pelini.

Avg Rivals Rating: 5.8
5 Star Players: 0
Visitors: Thaddeus Randle, Alex Logan, Cody Green, Corey Adams, Keenan Graham, Daytawion Lowe, David Oku

10/15/2010: This was the big Texas revenge game. By the numbers, it was Pelini's biggest recruiting weekend, and 5 of 11 players eventually signed with NU. Looking back, the social media buzz and hype created over this game was similar in execution to what our staff does 365 days a year now. This impressive visitor list shows that when you're excited about something and going the extra mile to create buzz, even Pelini's staff could get impressive players on campus.
Number of Visitors: 11
Total Stars: 39
Avg Stars: 3.5
Total Rivals Rating: 63.4
Avg Rivals Rating: 5.8
5 Star Players: 0
Visitors: DeVante Wilson, Jamal Turner, Aaron Green, Kevin Williams, Tyler Moore, James Adeyanju, Bubba Starling, Tevin Mitchel, Cyrus Hobbi, Lake Koa-Ka'ai, Patrick Onwuasor

9/2/2016: Here's what we know now. This list is obviously subject to change
Number of Visitors: 11 (Tied for most ever)
Total Stars: 45 (Most ever: 6 more than 10/15/10)
Avg Stars: 4.1 (Most ever: Never averaged over 3.8 before)
Total Rivals Rating: 64.9 (Most ever: 1.6 pts over 10/15/10)
Avg Rivals Rating: 5.9 (Most ever: We've gotten to 5.8 several times)
5 Star Players: 3 (Most ever: We've never hosted more than 1)
Current Visitor List:
Jaylen Kelly-Powell, Tristan Gebbia, Darnay Holmes, Foster Sarell, Jaylon Redd, Keyshawn Johnson Jr, Damion Daniels, Thomas Graham, Avery Roberts, Jamire Calvin, D Peoples-Jones

As you can see, we have more visitors with more stars and RR points than ever before. This is the first time a sizable visit list averages over 4 stars. Think about that for a minute. It's one thing to have a bunch of 4 star players on campus, but averaging over 4 stars means we have more 5 star visitors than 3 star visitors. Just crazy stuff.

This is also a full 10th a point higher Avg Rivals Rating than any of the other big weekends. That's actually more sizable than it seems. Consider that we really only recruit in a span between 5.4 and 6.1 and put the ratings on a scale from 1 to 100. It looks like this:
5.4 = 1
5.5 = 15
5.6 = 29
5.7 = 44
5.8 = 58
5.9 = 72
6.0 = 86
6.1 = 100
Looking at that scale, .1 RR equals about 14 percentage points. A difference between an average of 5.9 and 5.8 is pretty significant. It would be an even larger disparity if we didn't include 5.4.

No matter how you dice it, this is the biggest recruiting weekend on record. Now, let's just get them to sign!
