Finally getting his chance to shine. Rex gonna do what Rex do.
That's really not bad for Rex. He's not the kind of guy you want taking 25-30 hits. If he can get 5-10 touches per game and be productive that's a good gig for Rex.Rooting for Rex to grab the reins, but between him, Gillislee, James White and Dion Lewis, and the Hoodie's tendency to spread the wealth around, that backfield has the makings of a full-blown committee.
I'd take a late round flyer on him in Fantasy Football leagues...I think Gilislee ends up scoing the most points of all Pats RBs this year though

If Rex does as well as Danny Woodhead in New England it could launch a nice career for him even though it may be else whereAgree with you there. That would be a great role for Rex if he can get that workload consistently. Just tempering expectations of him becoming the lead guy. Based on Belichick's tendencies, he could get 18 touches one week and two the next. The same really goes for all four of those backs. They will go with the hot hand or scheme to exploit matchups from week to week. All will be maddening to own from a fantasy perspective.
exactly why BB signed him. He can catch the ball out of the backfield or split out and play WR in a pinch. He's a great team guy that can play multiple positions including special teams. Good tackler on punts, back up RB, WR, and punt returner. It's almost like getting an extra roster spot. Oh yeah, he can be your wildcat QB and complete a pass if need be too.Rex putting in work tonight. 3 catches..50 yards and a TD so far. 20 yards rushing as well.
