Watching this game again for about the tenth time and a few things get me excited
First, while our pass def was poor last year, I think it's very correctable. Cockerell was a liability in much of this game, Kalu and jones were making plays on the ball and was tight in coverage. Cook played well and lack of pressure hurt.
Second, we could not run for short yardage and almost cost the game. This was evident through the year but we did have success by getting tommy involved.
Third, stoltenberg did get in for a few snaps and held his own which is promising.
Fourth, tommy made some very nice throws but critical mistakes due to lack of vision and on our second to last play should have been an interception and he almost threw a pick 2 on the two point conversion.
