Didn't know where this fit in the other Briles thread, so I thought I'd make a new one...
Briles was in the middle of a session with a couple coaches (outside the conference) scouting Texas Tech and he gets a text that AD needs to see him. Briles tells the 2 coaches, "I'll be back in a few" and he never came back.
Coaches are sitting there and were told they needed to leave. OC went to the car and the media was lined up outside. The HC then heads out the side of the building with his head down.
Just goes to show Briles might not have really seen this coming. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing on him. Thought that was an interesting anecdote about this whole thing.
