Lots can change...and we will need to beat an undefeated Iowa team but I've seen projections that has us up against Arkansas, Oregon, or FSU. Doesn't appear we will get a cake walk if we make a bowl. I'd rather not see Oregon considering we have a two game series with them starting next year.

Arkansas is playing some good ball right now. They would be tough. I agree with you on Oregon. We don't need another Washington debacle. It'll be interesting to see which bowl we go to.

If we do lose to Iowa (boo), we will probably be outside the Big Ten contract and subject to the whim of any bowl who didn't have enough teams in their league fulfill their contract. That is still an iffy scenario. But at that point we could be in lots of different locations.

Call me crazy, but I kind of like the idea of playing an ACC team in the Pin Stripe Bowl. The Big Apple in late December against a 'warmer' weather team.

I wouldn't mind the music city bowl. Nashville is a blast

Premature, however IF we beat Iowa, then I agree we might get slotted higher. Two top 10 upsets on the resume would look good.. but again, it's premature

5-7 probably gets us a bowl right?
Probably. We would be the first 5-7 in and as of right now it looks like there will be 78 eligible teams to fill the 80 slots. So it's not a lock that that we get in at 5-7, but there is a good chance.

It doesn't matter who the opposition is

Been to the Pin stripe bowl, it's a ball. Could do much worse.

Yeah I don't see us getting a cupcake. We are still Nebraska and the bowl organizers know how well we travel. They will put together a good matchup against a solid team. The lastest I saw was against Arkansas in music city bowl, but a few days ago saw USC. Would rather have USC or FL st or Oregon than Ark.

Get to a bowl game. Get the extra work in and the chance to spend extra days recruiting in that area as well.

Get a game against whoever and make the game meaningful. How, by playing your tail off and getting ready to earn your spot in 2016.

Don't care who the opponent is, more about getting to a good place to play weather and recruit for the coming seasons.
