Boom #5

Interesting to me that our first QB recruit under Riley is more of a dual-threat QB and nothing like Sean Mannion.

I'm probably a bit surprised too, although Riley has basically said he's got no real aversion to a mobile QB if all the tools are there.

Kid just ran a 22.1 in the 200 Meter dash today. He can fly. He actually reminds me of Terry Bridgewater.

I'm really stoked about getting Terry Wilson. I've looked at some of the film of all the targets we were looking at, and this kid really stood out to me. Suffice it to say that our coaching staff knows what they are doing in regard to the QB position, but in my opinion, we got the best of our targets with Wilson's commitment. Welcome to Nebraska, GBR!

I really like this kids film. I think we land 1 more QB. QB is one position I'm not worried about under this staff. Riley did a great job during his tenure at OSU developing that position.

Love seeing Riley pursuing dual-threat QBs. It shows flexibility and open-mindedness that we Husker fans haven't seen in the recent past.

He looks good. Nice athlete. Can throw on the move. Rolling to his left and squaring his shoulders, impressive. I did notice he only threw had a 54% complete rate last year.

Completion percentage doesn't concern me much with QB recruits. Could his line suck? How bad are his WR? Etc...etc. Watching his film he appears to have solid pocket presence and a very solid arm strength. Obviously at this point with our current offense(what I think it will be)...his athleticism is just an added bonus.

Dual threat yes, but throw first, not run first. That is the way it needs to be.

I like his film.....looks like he can add 15 pounds.

Based on the quarterbacks we are recruiting, it certainly looks like Riley and Langsdorf want guys who CAN run, at least.

It was typical under Pelini for the quarterback to be our #2 rusher. Pretty sure that won't happen in 2015.

Last year for Oregon State Sean Mannion "rushed" 48 times for -306 yards. Oregon State gave up 36 sacks so 12 of those were carries and maybe a handful were designed runs. Glad we're not recruiting pass-first run-never guys like that.

I like his speed, footwork, touch and accuracy. Throwing motion needs work, throws off his back foot too much. Not impressed with his deep ball and no idea how good he is at reading defenses.

Good post. I think the kid could develop into something solid with Langsdorf. However, it kind of worries me that Stoops and Gundy didn't offer. OU took 2 QBs this year and they didn't offer Wilson. Okie-lite is supposedly taking 2 QBs as well and yet, no offer to the in state kid & Wilson fits Okie-State's offense pretty well.

Looks pretty nice for a HS junior. I like his footwork and how he keeps the ball high and squares up his shoulders. Definitely has some speed when he takes off.

Good accuracy, not a ton of "zip" on the ball, but that will come with more time in the weight room and coaching. He will need to get the ball down and drive it to the target on those mid-range throws to play in windy Lincoln. As somebody who endures Jay Cutler on Sundays, there's something to be said for a guy who doesn't gun every throw. You hate to see the QB rifle a swing pass and cause an incompletion on a simple touch pass.

Some very nice tools to work with, he could develop into a very nice player. Would like to see them take 2 QBs this cycle.

That is very fast, comparable time to Nate G in high school. Compares to the times for the fastest kid in WV for the past few years who now runs track for Va Tech. If the kid can run the type of O Riley wants, he could become a very dangerous weapon.
