Looks like we're still going after Talanoa Hufanga. He just picked up 5 stars on one of the other sites after The Opening finals. He is now the highest rated prospect in Oregon history, rated higher than Suh was.

This guy reminds me of the OLBs during McBride's glory years. When he makes a read the burners go on immediately and he arrives with nasty intentions. Terrell Farley, Jamel Williams, and DeMorrio Williams all come to mind.

He seems to be a strong Oregon lean. Our back seven in the next four years could be legendary if we close out with Parsons and Hufanga in the fold.

All it takes is one difference maker on D to make the whole D better. A Suh on the line. A Lavonte David at LB, or a Bookie on the back end. Elevates everyone's game.

Even makes a defensive coordinator look competent too. Winking
Give me Barry Sanders and Bo Jackson ill be the best damn RBs coach ever. Prime Time and Darrell Green, best DBs coach. Anthony Munoz and Bruce Matthews OL coaching genius. Aaron Rodgers and Joe Montana QB guru...I will be. Sensing a pattern here?? Talent and speed. Speed and talent. Great players make coaches look like geniuses. Gotta get the great players first. What Riley and staff are doing. GBR

I still can't believe there still not giving Bookie his dam 5 star ranking. He more then deserves it and he'll he be one of the best if not the best overall prospect in the country.

Bookie hasn't played a down yet. Throwing him in with this bunch is a bit unfair & premature.

I don't see where HBK said Bookie will be starting as a freshman and a game changer right away. Suh wasn't that person from the start, David was, but as a juco guy who had college experience... if Bookie isn't a game changer in his career at Nebraska, I will be shocked.

Again, maybe not game one, but he will be a game changer...

While I agree as to what Bookie deserves, I'll get over it. Not having that fifth star didn't stop Suh from dominating.

I understand and agree with your point that athleticism is extremely necessary to being a great player. But as key as that is, there is also much to be said about amazing talent that goes undeveloped. Without strong technical development, all of those guys would never have been great. If you don't develop as a technician, it's hard to sustain success at the professional level. There aren't many players that are able to dominate based on sheer athleticism only. They had skills that few others had, from an athletic standpoint. But it truly does take good coaching and intense desire to be the best to take any player into the realm of greatness. The work that goes on behind the scenes, which no one sees, is what causes good players to be great. We only see the product on the field.

This is JMO but the closer the player is to the line and ball is (DT, DE, LB) the more that player can & will impact the game. So if you can land a STUD DT, DE, or LB the better chance you will have for a better Defense. NOT SAYING corners or safeties can't impact a game, that would be stupid. I am saying landing a stud DT, DE, then Linebacker they stand a better chance of changing a defense for the better. If I was forced to pick between a STUD DT or a STUD CB I will pick the DT every time.

I'll be pretty shocked if he leaves the state of Oregon. His whole family can watch him there. It does help Riley coached his brother but I believe at the end of the day he stays in the PAC.
