Bob Uecker (not dead, just a fun story)

Got bored last night and watched a bunch of clips on YouTube of Bob Uecker. Apparently his role in the original Major League was entirely after-the-fact (not surprising). The producers thought the film was missing something. They wrote a script and had Uecker come in to do his lines, but Uecker threw out the script and ad libbed EVERYTHING.

Seen the movie so many times (and Major League 2), I don't think I recall him ever interacting with anyone outside the press box, so hearing it was all after the fact in the original wasn't a surprise, just interesting. Nonetheless, I found the clip I watched last night, it was Dick Ebersol who told the story, which starts at 3:17...
