let me start off by saying this is not to bash mark banker, he was a decent DC that was given a chance and showed flashes but it just didn't work out, the way I look at it is this , Nebraska is a Cadillac CTS-V, and what do you want for your caddy? You want the best no matter what....I'm not going to put 89 octane (banker) in my cts v when I know damn well I can be putting 91 in (diaco) and I might be paying a little more but in the end it pays off......point is diaco is everything banker wasn't, he's young, charismatic, good looking, energetic and a proven winner at a big time school and at big time stages...I know he is a jersey guy but he definitely has some of that Midwest grit in him especially if you watch some of the practice videos on you tube, I think him Bray, Williams and Parella is a match made in heaven, one can only imagine how much those young guys bring to practice everyday and I'm sure it will pay off with a more intense, energetic defense...this hire alone has made me reevaluate not only my excitement for next season but for rileys tenure here as coach, I can't wait to see this team next yr.
