Bo Pelini and his paper tiger 9 win streak

I'm so sick of hearing about Bo and his nine wins. So going back in time.

Year 1had to hold on to beat Clemson after coming from behind to gain the lead. Other 8 wins were pretty solid. Two bad blowout losses.

Year 2. Salty defense, bad loss to Iowa st, solid nine wins.

Year 3 was Pelinis best team. Got all the way to 5 in the polls. Piss down our leg against texas. Need ot to beat iowa st. Go out with a whimper in the Washington rematch.

Year 4. Pelini and his famous FU to the fans after a miracle come back against a badly coached Ohio st team. Braxton does not get hurt, we lose badly. Beat penn st at the hight of the sandusky mess, still had to hold on to win. Nine wins was closer to 7, got beat like a drum by ranked teams.

Year 5. We won 10, played 3 cupcakes, had to storm back to beat Wiscy and kick 4th qrt field goal. Pull one out of our ass to beat northwestern. Lucky breaks from the officials to beat mich st late. Got punked by the badgers in the championship game. Could have easily been 7 wins.

Year 6. Win 9. Have to hold on late to beat Wyoming that looked better than us all day. Gave up 602 yards to the pokes. Hail mary to beat NW. Mich, we score inside of 2 minutes in a come back win. Lucky win in OT vs Penn st. Smoked by Iowa, lucky bowl win against Georgia that lost their starting QB, still lucky to win. Could have lost 5 of those 9 wins. NW was a definite loss.

Year 7. Play 3 cupcakes, could have loss to McNeese state. Need ot to beat a bad iowa team. Could have been 7 wins.

My 2 cents Bo was closer to a 7 win coach not a 9 win coach.

I'm glad Nebraska won 9 all those years. Would have liked 11 or 12 a couple of times, but 9 is a good record for any team.

I'm sick of people thinking that ripping or lambasting or mocking or degrading Bo's record somehow makes Riley's 2-4 acceptable. One has nothing to do with the other.

How many times does the 9 wins thing have to be discussed? Pelini's record at Nebraska was unacceptable and so far so is HCMRs. Bo got seven years let's give Mike more than 6 games.
