Will begin 40 minutes after conclusion of game 5 or at the scheduled time of 1:30pm eastern, whichever is later.

The sun just fully emerged from the clouds and received a round of applause from the crowd.

Let's get these bullpens beaten up!

T1:
Double down the LF line past a diving 3B
L5 to a diving 3B (hit to almost the same spot as the double)
Jake Adams fouls out to C

Scoreless, mid 1.

Maryland players very vocal in the dugout. Iowa players started yelling support as well, but they just seem awkward like they have an obligation to be vocal.

Even down 4 runs, the Maryland dugout was vocally active.

The scoreboard operators are extremely fast on putting up balls and strikes.

Maryland continuing the their downward spiral or is Iowa just locked in at the plate? I am just watching the score update at work and I am surprised by the score.

B3:
4-1 groundout
Single looped to CF
Single lines to left-center, lead runner tagged out at 3rd on the foot on a head-first slide
Single to CF, E8 allows both runners take an extra base. Batter (Marty Costes) started his head-first slide way too early, probably because of seeing how far everyone slid yesterday. Think Willie Mays Hayes at the beginning of Major League. Had to crawl the last 3 feet.
3-run HR past the 408 sign on the pole beyond RF, clearing the fence on the hill. Probably went about 430-440 feet.
K swinging

6-4 Iowa, end 3.

Thanks! Just another reason for us to play Maryland. Playing Maryland helps our RPI and they have been playing down lately. We also seem to match up poorly with Iowa.

Game now just half over and Game 6 would have started by this time or supposed to have started.

Short stay who ever losses this game and would happen to end up getting upset by Purdue.

If the curfew is no start after 10:00pm what are the odds we get all four games in today?
I'd say if any of the next two games goes into extras, they won't get the 4th game in. And with thunderstorms expected this weekend, this is setting up for disaster.

I have no clue why they delayed the start of NU-Purdue yesterday. Tourney officials are probably kicking themselves for it.

I thought it was because of rain coming in to effect the start of the game?
